Job summary

The Resort Municipality of Whistler is seeking a Supervisor, Utilities - Wastewater to lead the operation of the wastewater treatment and collection systems. You will supervise a team of operators, maintenance staff, subcontractors and consultants to meet regulatory and permit requirements.

Eligible candidates have at least a two-year post-secondary program and 5 years in wastewater utility management, with strong leadership, reading of blueprints, and solid computer skills; valid BC class 5

Qualifications

• Staff supervision experience in wastewater utility operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and process diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise WWTP, collection system, DES plant and landfill closure operations.
• Coordinate operators, maintenance staff, sub-contractors and consultants.
• Ensure regulatory and permit compliance and respond to incidents as needed.
