Job summary

City of Kelowna is hiring a Wastewater Treatment Operator II to monitor and adjust treatment processes and related collection systems. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform maintenance, and conduct basic sampling and testing of wastewater quality.

Ideal candidates bring EOCP Level II in Wastewater Treatment, EOCP Level I in Wastewater Collection, a Class 5 BC driver’s license, and strong teamwork and physical stamina. The role offers benefits, vacation, and a top pension plan.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• EOCP Wastewater Treatment Level II.
• EOCP Wastewater Collection Level I.
• B.C. Driver’s License – Class 5.
• Computer literacy required.
• Experience in a wastewater setting preferred.
• Teamwork, flexibility, and physical ability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust wastewater treatment processes and collection systems in compliance with regulations.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform preventative and emergency maintenance/repairs.
• Collect basic sampling and testing of wastewater quality.
