Job Description:

We seek a Stores Lead (Afternoons) to assist the Stores Supervisor in managing the Stores department, including personnel, materials handling, shipping, receiving, and tooling. Responsibilities include conducting random audits to meet quality, cost, and time goals, interacting with on-site customer representatives, and collaborating with other departments as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed reports on all parts related to each project in the AMO
  • Provide timely updates on significant issues to crew chiefs and the Stores supervisor
  • Perform escalated expediting to ensure on-time delivery of materials
  • Address work-related issues and suggest productivity and quality improvements
  • Manage inventory adjustments
  • Guide, coach, and train team members, fostering a safe work environment and managing performance
  • Backfill for the Stores Supervisor and perform responsibilities of direct reports as needed, including Materials Handler tasks
  • Maintain strong relationships with support groups to ensure activity compliance with AMO and customer guidelines

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Leadership experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Work within the stores department during the afternoon shift
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs
  • Work with chemicals, aircraft parts, and tooling
  • Periodic overtime and regular visits to the hangar floor may be required
