Position Summary:
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be experienced in the supply chain needs of a cell and gene therapy (CGT) manufacturing facility. The person in this role will be a leading part of a high-performing team focused on supply chain and logistics projects adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The location of this position is at OmniaBio’s Hamilton, Ontario facility. This position is site-based, with work hours adhering to a designated pattern of 12-hour shifts. The primary function of this role is to lead a shift-based Supply Chain team in the manufacturing facility in support of OmniaBio’s client service provision of lifesaving CGTs.
Responsibilities:
- Follows OmniaBio’s policies, standard operating procedures and GMP documentation, adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Responsible for material receipts, storage, handling and inventory accuracy at all OmniaBio locations.
- Responsible for the health and safety of the team, co-workers and visitors to the warehouse areas.
- Coordinates and analyzes customer shipments, ensuring all requirements (including tracking, temperature and delivery time) are met.
- Ensures the team utilizes the SAP enterprise resource planning software to support supply chain activities.
- Confirms that supply chain technicians are utilizing GMP and GDP methods and are current on all associated training.
- Participates as a subject matter expert in client and regulatory audits and warehouse tours.
- Participates in and leads investigations to derive root causes of non-conformance activities.
- Adopts the OmniaBio Operating Model and embraces a continuous improvement approach to all work activities.
- Communicates any issues that may impact service to customers to area and site leadership.
- Provides supervision and drives standards within the work group to ensure client and compliance needs are met.
- Ensures that clear and accurate communication is maintained within the shift team and with off-going and incoming shift teams.
- Responsible for the performance management and development of a shift-based work group (10+ staff).
- Liaises with peers and management to ensure that adequately trained and competent employees are in place to execute the manufacturing plan.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2-year college program, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of work in a biologics manufacturing supply chain role.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to lift or carry up to 35 pounds.
