Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Warehouse Person B for our Brampton Plant. The role supports production by operating equipment and ensuring accurate loads is maintained in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the candidate will work outdoors, load/unload trucks, and assist with inventory counts while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification (Class 1) required.
• 2 years forklift experience preferred.
• Must read pick lists.
• Able to work overtime including weekends.
• Physical fitness test required.
• Good organizational and prioritizing skills.
• Able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift and maintain certification.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure loads meet safety and accuracy requirements.
• Locate products in yard and warehouse using Lot Location system.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Pick and sort stock using forklift with minimal errors.
• Assist with inventory counts as required.
• Direct truck drivers to safe loading/unloading areas.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Person B to join our team of skilled professionals based at our brand-new Brampton Plant. This state-of-the-art manufacturing plant produces premium asphalt roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous manufacturing process environment.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification
• Must be comfortable working outside in the elements
• Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials
• Identify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the Lot Location system.
• Load/unload trucks
• Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors
• Assist with inventory counts as required
• Guide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely loaded/unloaded

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must have valid forklift certification class 1 license
• Must be able to read a pick list
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including weekends
• Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical
• 2 years forklift experience
• Previous experience with materials handling & distribution warehouses preferred
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

This is a full time non-unionized position.
