Responsibilities include following procedures, recording production numbers, performing heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, and ensuring quality, safety, and housekeeping standards are met. Prior forklift experience is an asset, and bilingual skills are not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction is preferred.
• Fluent in verbal and written English; strong math proficiency.
• Able to work in a high-decibel environment and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment according to standard procedures.
• Document production numbers and downtime sources.
• Perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds daily and maintain safety compliance.
• Conduct quality checks to meet specifications.
• Operate counterbalance, propane forklift; maintain housekeeping.

Job Description Role: Production Operator

Job Summary: Canroof Corporation Inc. (CRC), a Company of IKO Industries Ltd., is hiring a Production Operator to work in Brampton, Ontario, due to business growth.

Employees will operate production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing plant while following health, safety & environmental requirements and producing products as per quality specifications. Employees will operate high-speed machines, handle workplace chemical, perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and practice good housekeeping. Employees will operate motorized equipment.

Compensation

Starting rate is at $27.25/hr

Job Responsibilities

Operate production equipment in accordance with established operating procedures Document production numbers, items contributing to downtime Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular, daily basis Adhere to safety policies, programs, and procedures Ensure that products being produced meet established quality specifications Document quality checks at regular intervals Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift General housekeeping duties Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff

Qualifications

Experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing, construction, or similar industry preferred Must have 2-3 years solid experience operating production equipment in a team-based environment Comfortable with working in a high decibel environment Computer knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet Manual dexterity Attention to detail Fluent in verbal and written English; Math proficiency Forklift experience an asset; training will be provided Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces Flexible to work day and night shift rotation; 10-12 hour each shift
