Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Production Operator to run the production line under the supervision of the Production Supervisor. You will operate machinery, feed raw materials, resolve line stoppages, verify quality, and prepare products for shipment.

The role offers a starting rate of CAD 29.53 per hour, increasing to CAD 31.88 per hour after a 3-month probation. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, RRSP match, paid vacation, EAP, and more.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Complete health & safety pre-start checklists.
  • Ensure that products being produced meet established quality specifications.
  • Document quality checks at regular intervals.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift.
  • Document production numbers, items contributing to downtime (using computerized systems and hand-written production reports).
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff.

Job Description Role: Production Operator

Job Summary: Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment.

Compensation: Starting rate is $29.53 upon hire, $31.88 upon passing probation in 3 months.
