Job summary

Piller’s Fine Foods in Waterloo, Ontario is seeking a Warehouse Operator (Casual Part time) to support daily order fulfillment and pallet movement. You will operate a reach truck and follow SOPs in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining a clean, organized warehouse.

Ideal candidates have attention to detail, basic MS Office/Excel proficiency, and the ability to work in a cold environment (-10 degrees). Wages start at $22.38/hour with potential shift premium and benefits through our rewards

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented and accurate.
• Warehouse experience is an asset.
• Reach truck and counterbalance certification is required with recent experience.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform offline order picking.
• Move pallets throughout warehouse.
• Operate reach truck in a safe manner.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all duties.
• Perform general warehouse cleaning duties.
• Pick orders from upper and lower conveyor systems using an RF scanner and ensure correct shipping labels.

THE OPPORTUNITY

• Perform offline order picking

• Ensure all orders are assembled on pallets and properly identified with correct shipping labels
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ad hoc duties as assigned

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a strong attention to detail
• Warehouse experience an asset
• Valid Reach Truck and Counter Balance certification with recent experience
• Strong verbal and written (English) communication skills is required
• RF scanner experience an asset
• Proficiency in computer applications ( MS Office/ Excel)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to work in a team environment and independantly
• Excellent attendance and punctuality is required
• Must be able to work in a cold environment (-10 degrees)
• Possess organizational and time management skills
