Job summary

Piller's Fine Foods is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor for the afternoon shift (12:30 PM – 9:00 PM). You will supervise distribution and shipping teams, ensure accurate loading/unloading and temperature-controlled compliance, and support inventory and safety programs.

The role requires post-secondary education in Supply Chain/Logistics (asset) and 2-3 years related experience; forklift license and TMS knowledge are preferred. Competitive salary and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and customer service oriented.
• Experience in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Must be computer literate (ERP, Excel, Word, Outlook) and able to use web-based programs.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise distribution and shipping/receiving teams for timely, efficient operations.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule on trucks and address repairs.
• Ensure inbound/outbound loads are scanned and verified per documents and temperature requirements.
• Assist inventory checks and investigate discrepancies through counts.

THE OPPORTUNITY

• Supervise the distribution and shipping/receiving teams, ensuring timely execution, optimal operational efficiency and resource utilization
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule on trucks and take corrective action as necessary to have unscheduled repairs completed.
• Ensure inbound and outbound loads are scanned and verified correctly as per the shipping documents and temperature requirements.
• Assist in the monitoring of inventory and investigation reasons for discrepancies; through stock checks and inventory counts.
• Maintain a safe working environment within area of responsibility to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Post secondary education in Supply Chain/Logistics would be considered an asset.
• 2-3 years related experience with product and industry knowledge in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment would be considered an asset.
• Priory Supervisory experience
• Valid forklift license and operating experience
• Working knowledge/experience eith a Transportation Management Sysytem (TMS)
• Customer Service Driven
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written in English)
• Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be computer literate (excel, work, outlook) variety of web-based programs including ERP
• Be a team player with a good attitude and respect for co-workers and customers
• Must have a flexible schedule as start and finish times may vary, be open to working occasional weekends.
