Job description

Novamen Inc. is a successful chemical distribution company operating out of Western Canada for over a decade. We are looking for a permanent, full-time Warehouse Operator to work at our Fort MacKay location. This position is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Our ideal candidate is an organized individual with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Make chemical blends using scales and pumps
  • Clean tanks, totes and drums
  • Move and organize totes and drums
  • Labeling/repackaging product
  • Quality checks to maintain quality control
  • Bench test samples
  • Shipping and receiving
  • Keep work area tidy and clean (tools, pumps, lab samples)
  • Diligent with paperwork (BOLs, receiving forms etc.)
  • Climb tanks and work inside tanks
  • Deliver and pick up packaged product and/or equipment
  • Transfer product with pumps and compressors
  • On call rotation for evenings and weekends
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license is required for some driving
  • Chemical blending experience is an asset
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Comfortable working with computers
  • Experience operating forklift / skid steer
  • Clean driving record, a driver’s abstract will be required
  • Ability to travel for work on occasion and participate in on-call rotation
  • Ability to follow safety standards
  • Able to lift over 50lbs, medium to heavy lifting is sometimes required
  • Confident working from heights and in confined spaces
  • Confined spaces, fall arrest, H2S Aware or Alive and First Aid tickets would be an asset (not required)
Wage Range
  • $32.00 to $37.00 per hour
  • When utilizing class 1 license you will be paid at a higher rate, between $37.00 to $40.00 per hour
