Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Forklift and Shipping & Receiving Associate for our client in Sherwood Park, Alberta. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.
The Shipping & Receiving Associate plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely movement of materials, samples, and supplies while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Location: Sherwood Park, AB
Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:am – 4:30pm

Responsibilities:
- Perform daily shipping and receiving activities, including inspecting, processing, and documenting incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Safely package, label, store, and prepare materials, samples, and supplies for shipment.
- Receive and verify customer deliveries while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain electronic and manual shipping and receiving records and documentation.
- Deliver samples to production laboratories multiple times throughout the day.
- Assist with long-term storage, tracking, and final disposition of client samples.
- Communicate effectively with the local leadership team regarding operational needs and priorities.
- Support workplace safety initiatives and follow all established safety procedures.
- Implement safe handling procedures for hazardous materials in compliance with WHMIS and company standards.
- Participate in housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement and 5S initiatives within the department.
- Assist with inventory organization and storage management.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the facility.
- Perform additional warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Site counter balanced Forklift experience
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics.
- Valid driver's license (Class 5).
- Forklift Certification (required).
- WHMIS certification or demonstrated experience handling hazardous materials.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer skills with experience maintaining electronic records and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance from coworkers.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work in warehouse environments.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse documentation.
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
