Job summary

Metro Supply Chain is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Rockyview County, AB location. You will lead the shift, manage health and safety, improve operational performance, and develop staff while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires 5 years of distribution experience (3PL a plus), 2+ years of supervisory experience, and proficiency with WMS and MS Office. A college diploma in logistics/related field is preferred. Monday–Friday shift with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years distribution experience (3PL is a plus).
• At least 2 years supervisory experience in a 3PL/Distribution setting.
• Proficient in MS software (MS Office).
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Schedule labour for the shift to meet production goals within budgeted costs.
• Complete shift briefings for effective communication across staff.
• Assign and monitor task duration for operators and warehouse staff.
• Ensure order sequences meet priority shipments and client requirements.
• Ensure proper picking/packing procedures and quality standards are met.
• Monitor and report daily/weekly KPI performance for the shift.
• Approve labour hours daily using company policy and ensure correct pay.
