  • Support employee onboarding, training, cross-training, and ongoing development.
  • Coordinate outbound logistics, transportation providers, delivery schedules, and route planning to support timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Maintain high standards for order accuracy, picking, packing, shipment integrity, and load securement.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and proper stock rotation, and investigate inventory or shipment discrepancies.
  • Identify the root cause of operational issues and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Monitor warehouse and logistics performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, cost control, and service levels.
  • Oversee the inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles, forklifts, and warehouse equipment, coordinating repairs when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional warehouse and facility.
  • Coordinate facility requirements such as waste and recycling, propane refills, snow removal, sanding, and general housekeeping.
  • Review and approve timesheets for warehouse and shipping personnel.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales, and other departments to keep inventory and information flowing efficiently.
  • Provide logistics support and coordination with other Inland branches.
  • Respond to customer concerns related to shipments and deliveries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and review operational reports and KPIs to identify trends and support continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams while creating accountability.

  • Experience coordinating transportation logistics and delivery activities.
  • Demonstrated success improving warehouse processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a practical, hands-on leadership style.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands, make sound decisions, and respond effectively to unexpected operational challenges.
