Job summary

OPTEL is seeking an Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to manage company and project inventories, receive goods, process shipping requests, and support on-time deliveries across departments.

You will perform cycle counts, audits, and supplier communications, ensuring accuracy, FIFO handling of obsolete stock, and continuous improvement within the warehouse. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Functional English.
  • Rigor, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong curiosity and a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, especially artificial intelligence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn, especially regarding new technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate management of internal and external inventories, including required system adjustments.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and the annual inventory, in collaboration with the Finance department during audits.
  • Receive goods, including verification of quantities and documentation accuracy.
  • Pick, prepare, and deliver parts for production lines, projects, and customer shipments.
  • Receive and process shipping requests, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information.
  • Validate delivery requirements with internal and external customers and follow up on shipment dates.
  • Track borrowed parts, missing parts, and returns.
  • Manage obsolete inventory in accordance with established principles (e.g., FIFO) and perform required inventory transfers.
  • Open, process, and follow up on purchase orders, NCRs, and related inventory movements.
  • Participate in the management of hazardous materials in compliance with applicable procedures and standards.
  • Provide logistical support to other sites, as needed.
  • Contribute to sample management.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Perform any other related tasks associated with warehouse operations.
