Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Warehouse Attendant for the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor within the Procurement Department and handle receiving, storing, and distributing materials underground.

The role requires a High School Diploma and familiarity with computers and email, plus experience with JDE is a plus. A 4/3 schedule applies to this temporary position, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Familiarity with email management and using a computer.
• Prior experience with JDE is considered an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Receive, store and distribute materials within the underground warehouse.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
• Promote Agnico Eagle’s Health & Safety Code of Conduct and environmental standards.
• Sort and place materials on racks according to code and type.
• Record inventory using the computer system and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assemble orders from stock and palletize or relocate for distribution.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area at all times.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be part of the Procurement Department. You will be responsible to receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment and products within the underground warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code;
• File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to designated storage area;
• Record inventory in and out as required in JDE;
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for people;
• Assemble orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area for distribution;
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method;
• Open bales, crates and other containers;
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program;
• Assist in counting of physical inventory;
• Weigh, record, reconcile and count items for distribution within site ensuring conformance to company standards;
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• High School Diploma;
• Familiarity with email management and using a computer;
• Prior experience with JDE is considered an asset;
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
