Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited's Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON, is seeking a Bolter, Miner 2. Reporting to the Underground Mine Supervisor, you will install ground support, operate bolting equipment, and help ensure safe, efficient underground development.

The role requires a High School Diploma, underground mining classification modules, and 7 years of underground experience plus 2 years operating bolting equipment (jackleg, stoper).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Modules listed in Underground Mining Classification Guideline.
• 7 years of underground mining experience.
• 2 years operating conventional bolting equipment (jackleg, stoper).

Responsibilities

• Operate conventional bolting equipment to install ground support in underground headings.
• Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Install and repair services in underground headings.
• Read and follow engineering prints, survey lines, and breakthrough warnings.
• Measure and document workplace data as required.
• Communicate work progress, hazards, and equipment status to the supervisor.
• Attend and participate in crew safety meetings and support approved safety programs.
• Obtain and prepare materials and tools required for the shift and communicate needs for the oncoming shift.
• Perform minor equipment repairs and assist with maintenance as needed.
• Comply with blasting procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support underground operations.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

• 7 years of underground mining experience;
• 2 years of experience operating conventional bolting equipmen (jackleg, stoper).

In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
