Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator in Leduc, AB for a 1-year contract. The role starts Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm, with weekends as needed, and focuses on safe handling of tubular equipment, accurate receiving, storage, and loading for on-time customer deliveries.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts to move long heavy goods, verifying shipments, maintaining inventory in SAP and Excel, and collaborating with drivers and team members in a fast-paced outdoor

Summary:

Seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focusedWarehouse Associate / Forklift Operator.This position is responsible for receiving, verifying, storing, and loading tubular equipment while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to customers. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience handling long, heavy materials, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage long, heavy tubular equipment.
• Verify incoming shipments and outgoing deliveries for accuracy and completeness.
• Inspect equipment and materials, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.
• Coordinate with third-party drivers and transportation providers to facilitate efficient loading and unloading activities.
• Utilize SAP and Microsoft Excel to track inventory, process transactions, and maintain warehouse records.
• Read and comprehend work instructions, correspondence, shipping documents, and internal procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard environment.
• Assist with inventory counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Use basic hand tools as needed and perform routine warehouse support activities.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational and customer delivery requirements.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of forklift operating experience.
• Experience handling long, heavy tubular products or similar industrial materials.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify equipment and shipment documentation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with external carriers, vendors, or third-party drivers.
• Mechanically inclined with experience using basic hand tools.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and calculations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, oilfield, pipe yard, or distribution warehouse environment.
• Experience working in a high-volume logistics or material handling operation.
