Job summary

Metrie in Winnipeg is seeking a Warehouse Associate to pick, pack, and ship building materials such as mouldings and doors. You’ll read pick lists, handle 50–60 lb bundles, and operate equipment like forklifts and tuggers in a clean indoor environment.

  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and ensure timely work.

What You’ll Do
  • Pick, pack, and ship a variety of building materials, including mouldings and doors
  • Read and understand pick lists and paper work
  • Lift, push, and pull material bundles that weigh between 50 - 60 lbs.
  • Ensure accurate tallies and order quantities
  • Operate various types of machinery as required, including an electric tugger and trailer
  • Clean and tidy the work area as required
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and timely
  • Product binning and put-away as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment, and are comfortable operating various types of machinery
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift; valid forklift certification an asset.
  • You must have reliable transportation or the ability to transit
  • Have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Are great at communicating with others in both verbal and written format
