Job summary

Metrie is seeking a warehouse associate in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will pick, pack, and ship building materials and support production by labeling and packaging finished goods. You’ll read pick lists, operate a tugger/trailer, and maintain accurate counts while staying safe and timely.

You should have warehouse experience, reliable transportation, and strong organizational and communication skills. This role offers a collaborative environment with growth opportunities and competitive

  • Must have reliable transportation or the ability to transit.
  • Be driven and punctual towards their job.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship a variety of building materials, including mouldings and doors.
  • Assist in production environment. Label and package finished goods.
  • Read and understand pick lists and paperwork.
  • Lift, push, and pull material bundles that weigh up to 49 lbs.
  • Ensure accurate tallies and order quantities.
  • Operate various types of machinery as required, including an electric tugger and trailer.
  • Clean and tidy the work area as required.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and timely.
  • Product binning and put-away as needed.

Key Interactions: You will report directly to the Operations Supervisor in Dartmouth and will be a key member of the Metrie Dartmouth Ops team.

  • You must have reliable transportation or the ability to transit
  • Must be driven and punctual towards their job
  • Have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Are great at communicating with others in both verbal and written format
