Job summary

Metrie Canada is hiring a Warehouse Associate to join our Langley operations. You will pick, pack, and ship mouldings and doors, read pick lists, and help maintain accurate orders in a clean, safe indoor environment.

You’ll lift up to 49 lbs, operate equipment as needed, and collaborate with the Operations Supervisor. This full-time role offers training and opportunities for advancement within a family-owned company that values teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
• Ability to commute or have reliable transportation to Langley location.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship a variety of building materials including mouldings and doors.
• Read and understand pick lists and paperwork.
• Lift, push and pull material bundles up to 49 lbs.
• Ensure accurate tallies and order quantities.
• Operate equipment such as an electric tugger and trailer as required.
• Keep the work area clean and safe, and perform put-away as needed.
• Report to the Operations Supervisor and contribute to team goals.

What You’ll Do

As the Warehouse Associate, you will have the opportunity to

• Pick, pack, and ship a variety of building materials, including mouldings and doors
• Read and understand pick lists and paper work
• Lift, push, and pull material bundles that weight up to 49 lbs.
• Ensure accurate tallies and order quantities
• Operate various types of machinery as required, including an electric tugger and trailer
• Clean and tidy the work area as required
• Ensure all work is performed safely and timely
• Product binning and put-away as needed

Key Interactions : You will report directly to the Operations Supervisor in Langley and will be a key member of the Metrie Ops team.

Current Shift Available:

Monday to Friday -

• Morning 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

Who You Are

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment, and are comfortable operating various types of machinery
• You must have reliable transportation or the ability to transit
• Have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Are great at communicating with others in both verbal and written format
