Maple Lodge Farms in Brampton, Ontario is seeking a VRT Operator to ensure smooth flow of product from the plant through the Variable Retention Time Freezer. This role reports to the VRT Supervisor and is essential for meeting company specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry and readiness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of CFIA, GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety and food quality standards.
• Familiarity with OHSA and WHMIS requirements.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail and multi-task effectively.
• Advanced computer skills and ability to learn VRT equipment programming.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks to ensure equipment operates at optimal performance and perform preventative maintenance on VRT equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; dismantle, clean, and reassemble as needed for processing.
• Collaborate with Department and Maintenance Supervisor to feed back on equipment performance.
• Set up equipment so products meet company and customer requirements.
• Keep the equipment and work area clean and orderly in line with GMPs.
• Follow departmental policies, processes and SOPs for controlled operations.
