Job summary

The Department of Justice in Whitehorse, Yukon, invites applications for the Program and Policy Coordinator, Victim Services, a permanent full-time role reporting to the Director Victim Services.

You will lead and coordinate programs, foster interagency collaboration, engage communities and partners, improve training, and manage CPVST delivery, working to strengthen services for victims of crime.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating, developing and implementing projects or programs.
  • Experience researching and analyzing issues and formulating advice.
  • Experience with budget tracking and analysis in project management or funding programs.
  • Experience engaging with community agencies, developing and maintaining partnerships.
  • Course work in social work, psychology, criminology, or related discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, implement, and coordinate assigned programs, projects and initiatives to foster interagency collaboration and supports for victims.
  • Engage communities and partners in programs and services for victims and improve training of those delivering services.
  • Administer the Crime Prevention and Victim Services Trust (CPVST) on behalf of the Board of Trustees and support project applications and board analysis.
