Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada in Edmonton is seeking a Vice President, Financing Specialists to lead a high‑performing team responsible for structuring, execution, and monitoring of mid‑market loan transactions. You will collaborate with relationship managers, risk, and operations partners, while driving a client‑focused, process‑driven culture.

The role emphasizes leadership, talent development, and the use of AI tools to enhance efficiency and decision making.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years’ work experience in commercial/corporate lending, corporate finance or similar.
• Proven track record in leading and coaching teams to high standards of performance, including recruiting, training, managing, and developing a team of credit professionals.
• Extensive knowledge of credit metrics, credit structuring and the ability to analyze complex loan agreements and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Senior Financing Specialists and Financing Specialists focused on structuring, execution, and monitoring of bi-lateral loan transactions.
• Collaborate with commercial relationship managers, regional leaders and RBC partners including Group Risk Management, operations, compliance, and Leasing/Trade Finance teams.
• Promote RBC brand and develop a network in the business community, engaging with industry and business leaders and community groups.
• Provide coaching and oversight through the deal continuum, including client discovery, due diligence, underwriting, credit approval and execution.
