Job summary

RBC in Canada seeks a strategic Vice President, Financing Specialists to lead a high‑performing team responsible for structuring, executing, and monitoring mid‑market loan transactions with a focus on credit quality and client service.

You will partner with relationship managers and internal RBC partners to promote the RBC brand, drive talent development, and leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency across markets.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
• Minimum 5-7 years' work experience in commercial/corporate lending or similar.
• Proven track record in leading and coaching teams to high performance.
• Extensive knowledge of credit metrics and structuring.
• Strong quantitative, financial modeling, and analytical skills.
• MBA, CPA or CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Senior Financing Specialists and Financing Specialists focused on structuring, execution, and monitoring of bi-lateral loan transactions.
• Collaborate with commercial relationship managers and internal RBC partners including Risk, operations, and specialized finance teams.
• Build and maintain a network in the business community to promote the RBC brand and opportunities.
• Provide coaching and oversight throughout the deal continuum: discovery, due diligence, underwriting, approval, and execution.
• Foster a culture of engagement, curiosity, and business development while ensuring portfolio quality.
• Lead change initiatives, talent development plans, and practice management routines.
