Job summary

Université de Montréal invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Clinical Pathology. The position is based at the Saint-Hyacinthe campus, with responsibility for teaching DVM students and developing a clinical pathology residency and research program. Active collaboration and publications are encouraged.

The candidate will participate in diagnostic activities, contribute to the field’s visibility, and engage in committees within the faculty.

Qualifications

  • D.V.M. degree or equivalent.
  • Certification from ACVP or ECVP in clinical pathology is required or in progress.
  • Master’s degree (M.Sc.) or Ph.D. in a relevant field or in progress.
  • Ability to provide high-quality university-level teaching.
  • Potential to develop internal, national, and international collaborations.
  • Ability to work in a team within an interdisciplinary environment and with faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate DVM students.
  • Participate in teaching and training graduate students and in developing the clinical pathology residency program.
  • Develop an independent research program related to clinical pathology; collaborate on projects.
  • Participate in diagnostic activities of the clinical pathology laboratory.
  • Contribute to the visibility of the discipline through publications and conferences.
