Become an Assistant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging / Radiology (Full-time or Part- time)

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Université de Montréal is the only French-language institution of its kind in North America. The Department of Clinical Sciences fosters the advancement of clinical knowledge through innovative research, ensuring a high-quality education for future veterinarians and veterinary specialists.

Through your undergraduate and graduate-level teaching, and your research activities, you will contribute to the faculty’s pursuit of excellence. Furthermore, you will promote your discipline and actively participate in the daily activities of a renowned institution. As such, you will:

• Participate in didactic teaching of Diagnostic Imaging to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as the continuing education of veterinarians;
• Participate in clinical teaching of the Diagnostic Imaging Service to DVM students and graduate students (including interns and residents);
• Develop research axes in the field of Diagnostic Imaging. Many opportunities for collaboration exist for new professors;
• Contribute to outreach activities in the discipline (publications, conferences, and others), including participation in various community services in the field;
• Contribute to the functioning of the Faculty and the University through participation in committees and working groups.

Additionally:

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent;
• Have successfully completed a residency program in Diagnostic Imaging and be a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI), including the ECVDI-Large Animal; applications from board-eligible individuals, as well as residents in the process of graduation, will also be considered;
• Hold a M.Sc. or equivalent (relevant research achievements);
• Demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality academic teaching, research, and clinical activities;
• Hold or be eligible to obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in the province of Quebec (Canada) issued by the Ordre des Médecins vétérinaires du Québec;
• Have adequate proficiency of the French language or be committed to learning it once hired, through the Université de Montréal’s French language support program, in accordance with the Université de Montréal language policy.
