Job summary

Université de Montréal is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in Bovine Population Medicine to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and to lead innovative research efforts in bovine health. The role includes clinical teaching of the bovine service to DMV students and graduate trainees, plus active outreach through publications and conferences.

Qualifications

  • DVM required; advanced research m.sc. or equivalent preferred.
  • Residency completion in bovine practice or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Diplomate status in ABVP Dairy Practice, ECBHM or ACVPM OR eligibility to sit exams.
  • Strong teaching, research, and clinical capabilities in bovine population medicine.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and institutions.
  • French language proficiency or commitment to learning it on hire.

Responsibilities

  • Teach bovine population medicine to undergrad and grad students and veterinarians in continuing education.
  • Contribute to clinical teaching of bovine service for DMV and graduate students.
  • Develop autonomous research axes and collaborate on related projects.
  • Engage in outreach through publications, conferences, and community service.
  • Participate in faculty and university committees and working groups.
