Mississauga Convention Centre is seeking reliable, professional Venue Waitstaff to join our events team in Mississauga, ON. You will deliver exceptional food and beverage service at weddings, corporate functions, conferences, galas, and other events.

The role requires a fast-paced, team-oriented approach and a commitment to guest satisfaction, with shifts at weddings, corporate events, banquets, and more at our venue.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, catering, banquet service, or a similar role is an asset.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical duties, including carrying trays and assisting with event setup.
• Professional appearance and a commitment to maintaining service standards.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional and attentive food and beverage service to guests during events.
• Set up and prepare dining areas, tables, chairs, place settings, and service stations according to event requirements.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and service.
• Clear tables, replenish supplies, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of event spaces.
• Follow event schedules and instructions from supervisors, captains, and management.
• Respond to guest requests and address concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and post-event cleaning.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, supervisors, and other event team members.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout each shift.
