Job summary

SMS Equipment Inc. is seeking a Used Parts & Salvage Analyst to support our Remanufacturing operation in Acheson, AB.

The role focuses on coordinating, analyzing, and improving the Used Parts and Salvage Program to recover value from components and assets while improving availability and reducing rebuild costs. The successful candidate will work on-site, Monday to Friday, reporting to the Parts Supervisor, Remanufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in parts or administrative operations, inventory control, reporting, business analysis, or related function.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop practical recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications; knowledge of inventory management is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of the Used Parts and Salvage Program, including opening/closing salvage work orders.
• Evaluate components for recovery, reuse, remanufacture, or disposal; maximize salvage value.
• Develop and maintain procedures for evaluation, recovery, inventory creation, and disposition.
• Monitor recovery rates and program performance against inventory value and rebuild savings.
• Prepare performance summaries and recommendations for leadership and annual planning.
