Job summary

Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa is seeking a dedicated Valet Key Controller to manage the daily valet parking office operations and ensure top-tier guest service.

You will greet guests, issue and track keys, and coordinate with valet drivers to deliver timely service while maintaining security and accuracy of vehicle records.

Role requires strong English (French preferred), attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment, reporting to the Valet Services Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest-facing roles in hospitality preferred.
• Strong service orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests by name when possible and build rapport.
• Ensure a smooth arrival/departure experience for guests.
• Manage keys and vehicle details with accurate records and audits.
• Retrieve and return keys promptly and assist with the retrieval app, O-Valet.
• Maintain organized key storage and account for all movements.
• Monitor safety and security of vehicles and respond to issues per procedures.
• Support fire safety duties and assist in safety practices.
• Assist guests with information about local attractions and hotel facilities.
