Job summary

Raise seeks a UX/UI Application Design Specialist to lead design and development on complex TW ITM applications in Toronto. The role collaborates with analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements, build workflows, and drive UX/UI standards within a Power Platform environment.

You will mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, and ensure AODA compliance while delivering design-driven solutions with a user-centered approach.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science or related field or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with MS Power Platform and modules: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot.
• Experience implementing software solutions with AODA requirements.
• Design of UI specifications applying research, standards, and business objectives.
• Experience with user-centered design techniques and architecture interfaces.
• Gathering requirements from SMEs, users, and analysts; translate to prototypes; design thinking.
• Microsoft Power Platform Development Certifications.
• Experience with UX concepts: user stories, personas, prototype development.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile Scrum.

UX/UI Application Design Specialist

• Pay Rate: Flexible- Hybrid
• Location: Toronto, Ontario
• Contract Length: 6 Months

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex applications using TW ITM Development Environment.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
• Develop and manage application workflows to streamline and automate business processes.
• Coach and mentor team members on UX/UI development and theories.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and UX/UI standards.
• Ensure the application development complies with AODA requirements.
• Review, assess and resolve technical issues, implement and document solutions.

QUALIFICATION:

It is important that the Services be undertaken by a UX / UI Specialist who can demonstrate specific knowledge of, and experience in performing similar work for projects of comparable nature, size and scope as detailed below.

Qualifications and Experience:

• University degree in computer science or a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience with MS Power Platform development environment and its modules; Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot.
• Extensive experience in implementing software solutions that adhere to AODA requirements.
• Extensive experience in the design of user interface specifications, by applying client research, design standards, and industry best practices, considering strategic business objectives, user needs, and systems constraints.
• Extensive experience working with user-centered design (UCD) techniques & demonstrated ability to incorporate those UCD principles into architecture and user interfaces.
• Extensive experience in gathering and translating user requirements from diverse stakeholders, including subject matter experts (SMEs), users, and business analysts. Skilled in transforming these ideas into prototype design mock-ups, with a strong foundation in design thinking.
• Microsoft Power Platform Development Certifications
• Experience with high-level UX principles such as user stories, persona building, prototype/prototype development approaches
• Knowledge of agile software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile Scrum methodology

DELIVERABLES:

• Lead development and design workshops for ensuring TW ITM Applications comply with AODA Requirements.
• Prototype TW Applications on the TW MS Power Platform development environment
• Assist in the creating of application development standards to ensure adherence to best practices and UX/UI standards.
• Review, assess and resolve technical issues, implement and document solutions.
