Thomson Reuters is seeking a talented UI Designer to own the visual design for an AI-powered legal assistant. Your expertise will drive consumer-grade designs that set the standard against leading AI interfaces.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional visual design skills and proficiency in prototyping tools like Figma Make, with a keen ability to design engaging interactions and collaborate closely with Front End Engineers.

Job description

Own the end-to-end visual design and UI for an AI-powered legal assistant product.

Deliver consumer-grade designs, quality benchmarked against leading AI interfaces (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini).

Define micro-animations, transitions, and motion design that elevate the user experience and deliver "wow" moments.

Must-Have Skills

• Excellent visual design craft with a sharp, opinionated POV on what market-leading AI UX looks like.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted prototyping tools — v0, Figma Make, or equivalent (static wireframes alone won't cut it).
• Ability to design and communicate interaction states, not just static screens.

Ways of Working

• Comfortable partnering closely with Front End Engineers from early in the design process.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a small, collaborative team.
• Moves quickly from concept to testable prototype without sacrificing quality.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $57.73 - 67.73hr CAD.
