Job summary

Shannex Incorporated in Bedford, Nova Scotia is seeking a Utility Worker (Dishwasher) to support dining services in Parkland West Bedford community. You will process all dishware, maintain sanitation, and assist with bussing and general kitchen cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Candidates may be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check and, where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to appointment.
• CPR & Emergency First Aid Certification and/or Basic Food Safety Training/Food Handler's course would be considered an asset.
• Previous experience working with seniors in a Retirement Living or Long-Term Care environment would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Process all dishware and maintain sanitation of the dish machine, kitchen aide and dish sinks per guidelines.
• Return clean dishware to storage areas for use by Culinary Services staff.
• Bus tables in dining rooms and catering areas as required.
• Maintain cleanliness to standard in the kitchen and kitchen aide areas.
• Perform all other duties as assigned/required.

About The Opportunity

About You
