Job Responsibilities:

Join Brightline West to shape the future of American travel with innovative high-speed rail projects connecting Las Vegas and Southern California, reaching speeds over 186 mph.

We seek a talented Utilities Manager to oversee utility activities for this high-speed rail project across California and Nevada. Responsibilities include managing utility work, stakeholder communication, contracts, design oversight, permitting, and project timelines and budgets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with utility owners along the HSR alignment
  • Review estimates, bids, and lead contract negotiations
  • Coordinate utility work with contractors and engineering teams
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and risks
  • Handle easements and permits, ensuring compliance
  • Monitor progress, minimize risks, and manage contracts
  • Serve as primary contact for utility matters
  • Prepare updates and maintain project documentation
Required and Preferred Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction management
  • 5+ years managing large utility relocation projects
  • Proficiency with project platforms like Aconex, Procore
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with utility asset installation and land rights acquisition
  • Experience managing costs, schedules, and stakeholder collaboration
