Job summary

Aspira Island Park in Campbellford is seeking an Unregulated Care Provider for temporary part-time night shifts (11:00pm–7:00am). This role focuses on compassionate, high-quality care to support residents’ health, safety and well-being, with a schedule that alternates weeks as described.

Sienna Senior Living offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.64 CAD, health & dental benefits, the SOAR program, an Employee Share Purchase Plan with company match, and opportunities for learning and growth

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Personal Service Worker certificate program.
  • Medication administration training with on-site competency evaluations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience with seniors and knowledge of aging process.
  • Pass Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Sienna may use AI to screen applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality care supporting residents' health and well-being.
  • Maintain resident records and documentation.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and report changes to Wellness Director.
  • Support care assignments and communicate changes to Wellness Director.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment using infection control principles.

As an Unregulated Care Provider, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care that supports residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being.   • Maintaining resident records and required documentation in accordance with policies and procedures and legislative requirements
  • Administering medications as prescribed and observes changes in condition and reports them to the Director of Wellness

  • Reporting incidents / near misses, illness or problems with residents to the Director of Wellness / General Manager
  • Providing guidance to the Guest Attendants to ensure that care assignments are completed and that changes in residents’ needs are reported to the Director of Wellness
  • Maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents utilizing infection control principles
  • Performing other duties as assigned
What you need to know:
  • Successful completion of Personal Service Worker certificate program
  • Successful completion of Medication Administration training program provided on site and successful ongoing quarterly evaluation of competencies
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
  • Current CPR training
  • Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
  • You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position
