Job summary

Huawei Canada is seeking an Ecosystem Operations Specialist to build and nurture relationships with Canadian universities, student clubs, and developer communities. You will coordinate university engagements, hackathons, workshops, and talent pipelines to support talent development and Huawei's ecosystem strategy.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in project coordination or recruitment, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years in project coordination, event operations, university relations, or recruitment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with universities, student orgs, and developer communities across Canada.
• Plan and run university hackathons, workshops, campus events, and programs.
• Support end-to-end event operations: planning, sponsorship, logistics, budgeting, post-event follow-up.
• Talent mapping and sourcing for co-op, internships, and full-time roles.
• Coordinate with hiring managers on referrals, interviews, and recruitment follow-up.
• Participate in career fairs and recruitment initiatives to strengthen Huawei's employer branding.
