Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Unit Manager in Montreal to oversee the unit's financial performance, lead food service operations, budgeting, and inventory control. You will recruit, schedule, and perform administrative duties while maintaining exceptional client relationships and menu offerings.

Compliance with QA, OHSA, and WHMIS is essential, with ongoing staff inspections and training. The role requires strong leadership, French language proficiency, and hands-on culinary and cost-control

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication in French.
• At least two years of related food service management experience.
• ProServe, Food Safe or Basic First Aid training is required.
• Ability to control food and labour costs.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and motivational skills.
• Detail-oriented and a strong team player.
• Outstanding client relationship skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Culinary skills would be an asset.

• Drive the financial success of the unit's operation.
• Lead all phases of food preparation, operation planning and expenditures, budgeting, costing and maintaining proper inventory levels.
• Recruit, hire, schedule and perform general administrative duties.
• Ensure excellent client relationships and client satisfaction with the service and menu options.
• Achieve compliance with Compass’ Quality Assurance, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.
