Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Unit Manager to lead food service operations, oversee associates, and participate in all phases of food preparation, menu planning, and development.

You will drive client satisfaction, enforce QA, H&S, HACCP and WHMIS standards, and manage costs with strong supervision and French communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required and independence is valued.

• Two years of culinary experience and supervisory skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial management including cost controls.
• Creative ability to apply trendy items and presentations.

• Participate in all phases of food preparation, menu planning, and development.
• Ensure positive client relationships and satisfaction.
• Be responsible for directly managing associates.
• Ensure the unit has strict compliance with the Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.
• Ensure Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards are followed in the food preparation process.
