Alberta Health Services in Red Deer is seeking a Unit Clerk to support the GI Clinic and Surgical Services teams. You will manage reception, handle telephone inquiries, and assist with scheduling and patient flow while maintaining confidentiality.

As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience with Connect Care, NetCare, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook, Access, Adobe.Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, strong organization skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus is required.An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment references.
Preferred Qualifications:1-2 years Ambulatory/Outpatient Clinic experience in the last 4 years an asset.Preferred training in Connect Care - Ambulatory Unit Clerk/Front Desk and Schegistrar with Referrals. Experience with Work queues an asset.
