Alberta Health Services is seeking a casual Unit Clerk in High Level, Alberta, to support the Long Term Care unit. You will facilitate communication among health professionals, patients and families, perform reception duties and maintain accurate patient records and charts.
Responsibilities include transcribing physician orders, scheduling tests or treatments, and handling a variety of administrative tasks to support unit operations.
High Level, Alberta, is a small northern town located just three hours from the border of the Northwest Territories and eight hours north of Edmonton. Our site is looking for a casual unit clerk that will be able to complete many tasks, such as updating forms and other clerical duties.In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:As required.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Microsoft applications and Canva.
