Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking an Underwriting Assistant on behalf of one of Canada's largest insurance and financial services companies. This hybrid role in Markham supports underwriters with document processing, data entry and administrative tasks.

The position pays $20/hour with a Monday–Friday schedule and 1 week onsite training, followed by 3 in-office days in Markham. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication are required for success.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of administrative/support experience.
• Completion of a related diploma/degree is ideal.
• Underwriting or personal lines insurance experience is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Data entry into RTM system for new business, renewals and endorsements.
• Assist with billing reports and processing.
• Support underwriting team to meet production goals.
• Prepare underwriting pre-work for property and casualty policies.
• Filing, faxing and photocopying underwriting materials.
• Work as part of a team and meet deadlines.
