Job summary

ECL Group of Companies in Edmonton is seeking an experienced Underwriting Operations Analyst to join the hybrid team. You will bridge underwriting and technical teams, ensuring rules, products and pricing are implemented correctly across systems.

You will lead projects, validate complex rules, and drive process improvements while mentoring junior staff. A CIP/FCIP designation and Guidewire experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline.
• Completed CIP or FCIP designation.
• 7+ years of underwriting experience.
• Strong understanding of underwriting principles, insurance products, and pricing.
• Experience with business systems, process documentation, system testing, and implementation.
• Experience developing and delivering training materials.
• Experience with Guidewire is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects from planning through to successful implementation.
• Lead testing and validation of underwriting rules, product updates, pricing changes, and system enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and system efficiencies.
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior analysts.
• Act as SME on underwriting systems, processes, and business logic.
• Partner with business and technical teams to resolve system and process issues across platforms.
