An established industry player is seeking an Underwriting Assistant for a high-profile project. This role involves data entry in Guidewire, general office tasks, and the opportunity to work flexibly once training is complete. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adaptability to change, and a thirst for learning. Location: Markham (2x days on site, fully onsite for training period)
Note:
All training will take place in the Markham office. Eventually once training in complete and we are comfortable with their ability to work independently, 3 days remote, 2 days in the office.
Job Summary:
This is an Underwriting Assistant position for a very high profile project requiring a dedicated team to learn Aviva's new system and work flexible hours if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry in Guidewire (Policy Information)
- General office work as needed
- Insurance experience is a plus but not required
Requirements:
- Adapts to change and performs effectively under pressure
- Ability to multitask and monitor progress to meet deadlines
- Thirst to learn and take on new challenges
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions
- General knowledge of Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy is more important than speed
- Ability to learn new systems quickly; very tech savvy.
