Our Individual Insurance team provides financial security for Canadians, focusing on excellence, innovation, and sustainable practices. The Senior Underwriter assesses risks for life, critical illness, and medical disability lines, supports field teams, and contributes to product and process improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze medical, financial, and personal information to assess risks
  • Evaluate complex applications and policy changes involving multiple risks
  • Determine reinsurance impact and escalate cases as needed
  • Make decisions according to company guidelines and standards
  • Prepare electronic summaries for underwriting requirements
  • Collaborate with distribution management and support training
  • Assist advisors during sales periods to ensure accurate processing
  • Identify when deviations from procedures are necessary
