Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Mine Trainer for the Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON. The role reports to the Health & Safety General Supervisor and focuses on common core and skill-based training for the mining department.

The position operates on a 40-hour week schedule at the Upper Beaver Gold Project, with responsibilities spanning training delivery, curriculum support, and ensuring safety standards and record-keeping align with company policies.

Qualifications

• Train the Trainer certification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an underground mine training capacity.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in influencing, conflict management, training of personnel.
• Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and initiate positive health and safety changes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS software.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance on underground mining equipment use.
• Support health & safety and mining training curricula and schedules.
• Lead compliance with safety and environmental standards with the safety and environmental department.
• Assess qualifications and on-the-job training for new employees.
• Maintain accurate training records and update as needed.
• Monitor training statistics and follow up on safety recommendations.
• Serve as a safety resource for the team.
