Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to support the Near Surface Portal Project at the Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON. You will install, repair and maintain mining equipment and participate in planned and unplanned maintenance to keep operations safe and productive.

You will need a valid mechanic license, experience with diesel equipment, hydraulics and electrical schematics, and familiarity with mining gear.

Qualifications

Must have a mechanic license.
Experience troubleshooting engines, hydraulic and electrical issues.
Experience reading hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Previous mining equipment experience preferred.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

Repair diesel equipment (Epiroc/Sanvik jumbos, scoops, trucks, scissor lifts, mine equipment).
Maintain mine equipment and facilities for safety, quality and productivity.
Assemble, adjust, set up, lubricate and repair mining equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints and follow manufacturer instructions.
Process work orders for preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance.
Remove, install, align, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Ensure compliance with regulatory codes and company requirements.
Collaborate with colleagues and managers on activities within the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
