Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is seeking a qualified Supervisor, Mine Operations (Development) to lead daily ramp and lateral development crews at Canada’s large underground mine near Matachewan, Ontario.

You will promote safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement through effective planning, coaching and reporting in a long-life operation with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in mining operations.
• Underground mining and development experience strongly preferred.
• Supervisory Common Core certification.
• Strong leadership abilities with coaching and accountability in safety-focused environment.
• Excellent communication skills for planning, reporting and safety discussions.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership, coaching and mentorship to development crews while ensuring safety and performance targets.
• Plan, communicate and follow up on ramp and lateral development work to support safe, productive underground operations.
• Promote safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct workplace inspections and plan corrective measures.
• Identify operational issues, troubleshoot daily challenges and apply practical solutions for safe progress.
• Communicate expectations clearly, report planned versus realized work and lead monthly health and safety meetings.
