Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking an Underground Electrician for Young-Davidson in Ontario to ensure the safe, reliable operation of underground electrical systems. You will report to the Supervisor, E&I and collaborate with maintenance and operations to enhance reliability and efficiency.

The role requires troubleshooting, installation, and repair of underground electrical equipment with a strong safety mindset and ability to work in a team or independently.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment, systems and installations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams and prints.
• Mining experience with electrical equipment is a plus.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mine equipment in compliance with safety standards.
• Inspect equipment, identify faults, and perform repairs.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot underground electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Install, set up, and maintain underground substations and pump stations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, prints and technical documentation.
• Support operations by performing additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor, E&I.
