Job summary

Coeur Mining’s Rainy River operation in Ontario seeks an Underground Geological Labourer for a 12-month contract, performing diamond drilling support, sampling, labeling and data recording in a safety-focused environment.

The role offers on-site duties in the Rainy River District with on-the-job training provided and preference for residents of the Rainy River District. Travel assistance and camp accommodations are not provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sampling and sample-labelling techniques.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions and procedures.
• Commitment to safe work practices and site safety requirements.
• Valid Canadian driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete diamond drill core sampling and assist with other geological sampling activities.
• Support geotechnical logging and the organization of drill core.
• Label, document and prepare samples for analysis.
• Transport samples to the assay laboratory while maintaining accurate sample records.
• Enter geological and sampling information into designated databases and tracking systems.
• Assist with sample preparation and other activities in the assay lab preparation area, as required.
• Move, organize and store core boxes and related materials.
• Maintain clean and organized geology work areas.
• Perform other geology-related duties as assigned.
