Job summary

Lake Shore Gold in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking a Core Technician to join the Exploration Team on a 12-month contract. Responsibilities include assisting the geological crew with core cutting and sampling, moving cores, packing samples and documenting shipments.

You will also handle deliveries and organize drillcore storage at mine sites, while maintaining the core facility. Ideal candidates have core tech experience, a valid driver’s license, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Must have previous core tech experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to safety and health regulations.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Assist geological crew with cutting and sampling core, moving core, packing samples and completing shipment documentation.
• Make deliveries and organize drillcore and sample (pulp/reject) storage at mine sites.
• Maintain core facility organization and perform other duties as assigned.
